| 초록 | This article surveys some of the key works in the history of western science in South Korea, mainly focusing on the articles and reviews published in The Korean Journal for the History of Science. It intends to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Society for the History of Science in 1960, to reflect on some of the shifting scholarly trends featured in The Korean Journal for the History of Science, and to discuss a few fruitful scholarly avenues for historians of western science in South Korea. Written from a perspective of a Korean historian of ‘western’ science, it further considers some of the meaningful engagements with a wider community of science studies scholars in South Korea and beyond. |
